Restaurants and cafés

Your menu, your counter and your website, on one account.

A QR menu at the table, online orders on your own website and the POS app at the counter. Each one has its own Stripe account under Stripe Connect, and payouts go straight to your bank account.

What you can run today

Each place you take orders is a touchpoint, with its own orders and its own Stripe account under Stripe Connect.

QR menu at the table

Guests scan the code on the table, browse the menu, order and pay from their phones.

Online orders on your own website

Take orders on your own website at 0.4% + 1¢ per payment on top of Stripe's fee, with no revenue share on your own orders. Orders from delivery apps are not connected: Food Aggregator Sync and Last-Mile Delivery are coming soon and not for sale yet.

At the counter

Tap to Pay on Android phones
Bluetooth Stripe readers: Reader M2 in the US, WisePad 3 in the UK and EU
Card payments need an internet connection
Staff accounts with roles: only admin and sales take card payments, only admin can refund

Here the counter runs on Tap to Pay — no hardware required. For dedicated POS hardware on its own, see shoppipos.com.

Why Shoppi for restaurants

The problems you actually have, and what Shoppi does about them.

Tables wait while we take orders
QR menu at the table: guests browse, order and pay from their phones.
Delivery apps take a cut of every order
Orders on your own website and QR menu cost 0.4% + 1¢ per payment on top of the Stripe fee, not a delivery-app cut, and they land in your own dashboard.
Changing the menu means reprinting everything
The QR menu is a web page. Change a dish or a price and guests see the new menu; the printed code stays the same.
Keeping two menus in step takes hours
Each location is its own touchpoint with its own catalog. With the Shared Catalogue add-on, linked touchpoints share dishes and prices every 10 minutes. Each linked touchpoint is on Business, and the add-on is $500 one-time per touchpoint. If one location should keep its own price, ask us.
Menu, shop, classes

Sell more than the table, from the same account.

Many restaurants also sell jars, gift boxes, tastings or cooking classes. Each can be its own touchpoint with its own plan, its own catalog and its own web address, all in one account.

A tasting evening or a pasta class is an item in your catalog, so it can sit next to the dishes on the page where people order.
