The cart is the part that breaks
A cart looks trivial until real orders arrive: a shopper with items from two countries, a digital product that should not be charged shipping, a price in pounds shown next to a euro total. Those are the cases that quietly lose money, and they are handled here rather than left to a plugin.
Shipping charged the way it is displayed
The shipping cost the shopper sees is the cost that is charged. Rates come from the merchant's own settings, with a calculated fallback only when nothing is configured — one rule, one implementation.
VAT is shown inside the price, not bolted on at the end
For consumer sales, prices include VAT. The checkout shows the tax portion of a price rather than adding a surprise at the end, which is what EU consumer law expects and what shoppers expect too.
Digital goods do not get a shipping line
Downloadable products skip delivery entirely, instead of inheriting a shipping cost from a product feed.

What does the shopping cart cost?
It is part of the $5 monthly plan. Direct transactions cost 0.4% plus one cent; there is no separate cart licence.
Which payment methods are supported?
Card payments run through Stripe, including the wallets Stripe supports in your country.
Can I use the cart on a site I already have?
The cart is part of a Shoppi site. If your current site stays where it is, the usual path is to move the shop pages to Shoppi and link to them from your existing navigation.
How are refunds handled?
Refunds are issued from the order in your dashboard and reconciled against the payout that included the original charge.
