Shoppi vs Square

Shoppi and Square, for two shops and a website

One Shoppi account runs your shops and your website. Each location has your own Stripe account under Stripe Connect, with payouts straight to your bank account. On Business, your website runs on your own domain, with an isolated database and standard HTML pages you can copy. Below, how that compares with Square Plus and Premium on capabilities.

Moving from Square

There is no direct Square importer. You bring your catalog in one of two ways.

Do it yourself, on any plan

Import a CSV file. Each product comes in with name, price, quantity, SKU, one photo and description. Variants, categories and extra photos do not come across, so plan time to add them.

Have it done for you

Concierge setup, $249 one-time, or the Smart Data Importer, $199 one-time on Business. You send us your catalog, and the import is done for you.

Questions Square merchants ask

You may not need to. If Square Plus covers what you need, it is a good fit. Shoppi is worth considering if you want your own Stripe account under Stripe Connect for each location, with payouts straight to your bank account, a website on your own domain on a dedicated server with an isolated database, pages in standard HTML you can copy, the Shoppi marketplace or Wholesale.
Shoppi takes in-person payments through Stripe: Tap to Pay on Android. Bluetooth Stripe readers: Reader M2 in the US, WisePad 3 in the UK and the EU. A card reader that is not one of these does not work with Shoppi. Receipt printers and cash drawers are not supported yet. See hardware.
Each location keeps its own stock, which you set, and there are no transfers between locations. With the Shared Catalogue add-on ($500 one-time per linked location, on Business), product details and prices are copied across the locations you link every 10 minutes. Stock is never copied.
You do. Each location has your own Stripe account under Stripe Connect, opened during setup in your company's name, and payouts go straight to your bank account. A website and two shops means three Stripe accounts, one per location.
No. Plans are monthly, with no contract. To cancel or downgrade a plan, ask support and we do it for you.
